I got a call from somebody named Sandy George, Representing a company called first national government grant benefit. She told me that I qualified for a $12,000 grant, and that I would not have to pay the money back because it comes from our taxes.

Sounds good huh? She then continued to tell me that I would get the grant when they mailed me a package and all I would have to do is pay for shipping and handling of $29.95 and that I would not have to pay the shipping right away.

I thought hmm sound to good to be true. Well I was right. She ask for me to verify my address (which she already had) my name and phone number. Then she tried to get my banking information.

Well I asked her what the name of her company was and the phone number, she gave it to me. Then i asked her what she needed my banking info for if i did not have to pay the shipping right away. She said they needed to verify my account so I could get the transfer of funds into my acount.

By now I don't have the warm and fuzzies about the situation so I told her that I had an important call coming in, she got all mad and hung up.

what are these people thinking? First off I could barely understand what she was saying. Second if you were trying to help someone wouldn't you be a little nicer. jeez
