My IT business needed a telemarketing company to do our cold calls. I called Select Pro Marketing and worked with Amber Rhea. This was around July 2nd, 2009. Amber described their services to do the following:

Assign an "Account Manger" and a "Project Manager" to me. Assign 5 telemarketers to the account. For $750.00, one time charge, they would pull a D&B report for zipcodes and SIC codes I specified. The telemarketers would access my GMail Calendar and book appointments for me. For every sale I made, Select Pro Marketing would get $50.00 from me.

I talked at length with Amber. The whole concept sounded great. It was exactly what I was looking for. I googled the company name and just saw their company. Today, if you google Select Pro Marketing, the page fills up with scam reports against this company.

I worked with this guy called Jay. He helped me setup the script and the call list. I eventually received a call list of just under 4000 records. They had promised 5000 records to start. The campaign was supposed to start Monday, September 14th 2009. By this time, I was assigned Christina, my "Project Manager".

Except for one telephone conversation with Christina, she stopped taking my calls or would not reply to my e-mails. The entire week I was sent to her voice-mail. I asked to talk to a manager, but they would not allow that.

On Friday, I googled the company name again and saw they were a fraudulent company. They obviously have no scruples about stealing money from people.

I plan on contacting the state attorney general for the state of MA. and CT. People like this must be stopped.
