First Premier Bank BEWARE Victimized many consumers! Sioux Falls South Dakota
How I think I just won with this company:
I received the letter in the mail yesterday for their Gold Mastercard with a $119 Acceptance Fee, $72 Annual fee, and other fees ... which, last night, I thought wasn't so bad -- since I do not have the best credit, and since the fees weren't up front, I thought it was better than getting a secured card and having to pay the money up front. So, I called the number on the letter last night, provided my info to process the card, and was told it would take up to 32 days for them to make a decision. Whatever.
Anyways, after reading all these posts on here about FIRST PREMIER BANK, and their customer satisfaction issues, I decided to call and cancel my application. The phone number I called was: 1-800-987-3661 -- I pressed 6 to speak with a customer service person, and after 2 rings got an answer. There's a plus. The woman who answered was Pat. She was very polite. I told her the reason for my call, she asked me what my SSN was, I gave it to her. She verified some personal information with me, and then asked me to verify that I was calling to cancel my application. I said YES, CANCEL MY APPLICATION. She said that she had cancelled it, and that I would receive a letter in 7-10 days indicating that my application had been cancelled.
PLEASE CROSS YOUR FINGERS FOR ME. I will post an update if and when I receive a letter -- also, if anyone else does this, please post to the board and let us know how things work out for you.

Make sure you place a stop payment on the check as well. It may cost you a few dollars, but as you read here, simply telling them to cancel will only lead you to a nightmare. CANCEL THE CHECK DO NOT TAKE THERE WORD FOR IT ::)
