Complaint Review: First Premier Bank

First Premier Bank Charges to a nonexistent account in my name Souix Falls South Dakota

In 2001, First Premier Bank contacted me about issuing me a credit card while living in North Carolina. I never received the card, muchless used it. My credit report shows that I have a high balance of $276.00 with a max limit of $250.00. How could this be? I have never owned a credit card before and still only use my Visa check card for all my purchases, which comes directly from my checking account.

This has hurt my credit tremendously and need direction as to what I can do to get this off my credit report.

(800) 987-5521... there is Premier Bankcard's customer service phone number. call it and talk to them. explain that you did not open the card and you would like to file a ''LOST/STOLEN" report on the account. they will do this without any questions asked. Also since you don't have the card and never received it, i recommend (as long as the account has been open less than 6 months) doing what is called a "NON USE CLOSURE''. when this is all done and over with, the account will be closed, you will not be responsible for the balance and as long as the account is found fraudulent the credit report will be reversed.
