"No, I never even applied for the card."
I didn't ask you if you applied for the card. My two previous questions were: Did you purchase anything with the card? Does the bank claim you did?
New question: Is there a balance on the account that is NOT related to service or interest fees?

There is no way they would just send you a card out of the blue. Somebody had to apply for it (in your name). Either it was you and you forgot, or someone has attempted identity theft. Either way, it is imperitive that you find out before this thing s****.>

If you are getting pre-approved applications from First Premier your credit is already ruined. This is because they are a Sub-Prime card for people that have severe credit issues already. Because they are a Sub-Prime card they have very high fees, I believe it is about $160 in fees to just get the card, and then $10-$15 a month to keep it.
They do send out "Pre-Approved" applications but you MUST send the application back to actually get the card. They do not just send out a fully active account without you filling out the application, that would include things such as your SSN and signature.
So either you did fill it out and "forgot" about the card, and the amount is the fees that they charged once the card is opened that you never paid. You are a victim of Identity Theft and someone else actually opened the card up in your name. There is some mistake and the account actually belongs to someone else.
You need to contact First Premier and have them send you proof that you actually applied for the card.

No, I never even applied for the card. They sent me the application and now almost a year later I'm getting collection notices.
