I payed off a Mastercard account I had with these people. At the time my account was over the limit and past due. I closed the account and received a letter from First Premier Bank dated 2/22/02 stating that I was still responsible for the full balance.

I paid this account off in full on 2/24/02. I was not aware of what the true balance was so I took the information off my on line statement. I overpaid the account by $113.00.

I am being informed by this institution that it will take 90 days to refund my money since I could have made purchases on the account. This could not have happened since the account was past due and over the limit. I would have found it reasonable to hold my money for 30 days but 90 days lets me know that they must be hard up on funds to hold my money and collect interest on it.

I have contacted these idiots numerous times for my money and have gotten 20 different answers. I am not certain what kind of operation they are running but it is ironic when I was past due for $45 they called me everyday. But now that they owe me money I have yet to hear from them. I was promised something in writing to state what they were doing was legal. I am still waiting for that documentation.

Hi, Tuesdi. Send these jerks a letter DEMANDING the return of your funds IMMEDIATELY. Send it by registered mail, return receipt and send a copy of the letter to the FTC at the address shown in this link, http://www.ftc.gov/ro/northeast.htm. Make sure that you inform these clowns that you are sending a courtesy copy to the FTC. I have had dealings with the FTC in the past and they will acknowledge receipt of your correspondence and may initiate an investigation. Good luck!!
