I cannot believe what a ripoff this company is. Here's my story: I'm going through my mail as usual and come across this credit card from first premier, I'm thinking wow, a gold card that I don't even remember applying for. Well that should have set off the warning signs right then and there. But, I was in a tight situation and was thinking that maybe this was a blessing from God. Well, it was the complete opposite of that. First of all the fees are outrageous. And when you really think about it, what sense does it make to make payments for something you haven't even purchased just for the sake of holding that "gold" card? Anyway, I was trying to travel and the amount on the card was exactly the amount I needed. I went in to the travel agency and had them to run it through just to ensure that there was really enough on there. That's when the nightmare began. I had all of the information such as the voided receipt and everything but when my agent tried to run it through again (I had to have extra cash on hand to make the purchase) it was declined. Needless to say, the money was never put back on the account despite my numerous phone calls as well as my agents. They told me that it would take 15 days ok well it's been over one month now!!!

These are the most rude customer service representatives I have ever dealt with in my life! They must be the seed of loan sharks, I mean I tried to explain my situation but before I could get one sentence out, I was interrupted and one lady was extremely nonchalant and not helpful at all! I've said all this to say, please, try applying for a card with a reputable company even if it has to be secured especially if you're only trying to get your credit back on track. Let First Premier be your last alternative!!! BEWARE!!!!

Be very careful sending them lump sums of money.....First Premier will cash your check the minute it arrives at their office and ...

1.)...They'll either make you wait 14 days before it gets applied to your account or...

2.)...They will just deny recieving a payment even though you and your bank have all the paperwork to prove otherwise....

This company and their reps are flat out liars and they will go out of their way to be rude, irrational, and just plain inconsiderate.....

I'll just be glad when they finally get what is coming to them....

Beware....they are quite the dirty bunch

Kirk, thank you for your suggestion, however because my account is with a debt consolidator, I have to pay it off with them. They then in turn have to send the check, CERTIFIED MAIL, to First Premier. If they do not post it correctly, at least we have a signature, if that does a bit a good. I doubt it though. We have sent 3 letters already to them telling them I am with a debt consolidator and 2 of three have been sent certified. My company received one green card signed and they still call me stating they do not know this information. Last call came in yesterday at 4:46pm EST. I had to argue and then finally hang up on Antonio. I am sick of these people. I keep saying over and over again who do you think keeps sending you checks the same day of every month in the exact same amount, me? NO! Look at the check! I think to work there as a collector you have to be dumb as h*ll. Just my opinion.

I personally have had problems also with the customer reps at First Premier. I am disabled and because my hubby has a security clearance we are unable to seek any type of "bankruptcy" help. So when I had to stop work we went through a reputable company to do a debt consolidation and make one monthly payment, much lower, and include First Premier.

Since April of this year they have continously recieved my payment from this company on the same day of the month in the exact amount of money but have yet to sign the agreement. They call her and harass me at least 4 times a day. When I try to explain that the account is with this company they say I don't qualify that I was offered another plan and did not keep up with those payments. I said what?

I never was offered anything, never agreed to anything, verbally or in writing. They get rude and hang up. When they call back, I ask for their supervisor, I get hung up on. Now a days I don't even bother answering the phone. Have asked my debt company to send a 3rd letter to them to sign at this point I don't care. Payments are made every single month in the same amount on the same date.

If this does not make them happy I don't care. There is nothing more we can do. My company says if they try to sue, they can back us up, because they have sent the last 2 letters out certified and the first of them have come back with a signature. So we know they have one of them. If they so choose to throw them out, that is there choice. They are being informed that this account has been placed with a debt company for consoldation and lower payments to HELP us out.

Next thing I do, I have to wait and get my July 31, 2004 statement in the mail, is send them a cease and desist order to stop calling me. I am sick and tired of these people calling me. They do not listen, they do not care. Look in your mail box First Premier.

Look who is sending in my monthly payment, month after month since April 2004! Not me! Leave me alone, every single other creditor has signed the agreement and has left me and my husband alone, reduced the interest rate and we are making headway on reducing our debt except First Premier!
Once I get my first Social Securty Disability Check I am paying this card off, just to get rid of them!!!!!!

A victim of First Premier

I couldn't agree more....rude and disrespectful...

I was just reading through your post after posting my own and couldn't help but comment. I have never been spoken to like that (repeatedly) in my life. You know, I can understand one bad representative as we all have bad days from time to time and tend to take it out on the innocent; however, I have never dealt with a company that has so many repeat offenders when it comes to disrespect, rudeness, and a downright lack of concern or compassion.

Then, to make things even better, when I asked to speak to a manger or supervisor, I got someone even worse than the employee I was going to complain about. It was so bad that, at one point, I thought that there was no way this person was a supervisor. I honestly thought I was being "jerked around" by a couple of "Bad-Apple" employees whose superior just happened to be out of the office at the moment.

So, I called back the next day in hopes of speaking with someone who might care and not treat me like dirt. Well, after dealing with them for more than 2 years, I honestly don't believe there is a TRUE customer service or customer care representative. They have only been nice to me one time and that was when I called to cancel the cards the day they first came in the mail. I haven't been treated that nice since that first day in fact it only got worse. Well, here is a link to my post and my story.
