Stupid me, I just got this card about a month ago. They called me last night and said I was over by $35 and I was 38 days late. I have not even had the card for a month and the dumb thing shuts of before you go over. I asked them to cancel it 2 weeks after I got it and that never happened. It seems like when I asked to cancel it, they tack on more fees. It is a nightmare! Please beware of this company, they are nothing but scammers. Thank goodness I have a lawyer.

First- Premier Bankcard doed float some payments for up to 20 days. These are payments done through any sort of Autodraft format. This is a verification process that seldom happens.

Second- John there maybe many complaints about Premier Bankcard out there and they are true. There are large fees for starting the card and heavey penalties for being late and over the limit. What else is Premier supposed to do not charge the fee and say "It's okay we won't charge because I'm sure it won't happen again." Lets baby the card holders. Everything is stated in the contract. No one has a real reason for their complaints that I have read thus far.

Three- READ READ READ There is a reason why there is a box to check if you have read the terms and conditions. People are there own reasons for their problems.

No, Grant, you get it straight. I already have better cards. The only reason I still keep this one open is that First Premier is so incompetent, they can't even report my credit history as promised in their advertising, tried to hit me with their false late payment scheme (which I won because I had proof of electronic payment from Bank of America), and now their incompetent individuals are providing name, address and SSN of others to people that don't need this information.

As soon as First Premier reports my credit history correctly and refunds my money, I will drop them like the snakes they are. But, since they like to disclose personal information to others, like Mr Pyle of Greensboro, NC to people who don't need that information, I feel its better to hold the card. That way, when I testify for him to sue First Premier for this illegal activity, I am also doing it as a cardholder.

The bottom line is, First Premier does hold payments....read the hundreds of complaints....the only reason they didn't get me on this scheme they try on hundreds or maybe even tens of thousands of people, is that my bank is bigger and could prove they received the electronic payment.

Let's see.....we can believe hundreds of complaints....or one person from South Dakota that states First Premier doesn't hold payments....hmmmmmm. Anyone else agree with Grant???

John, you need to get a few facts straight. Premier can not and does not hold your check after they receive it. Every payment they receive in a day is processed same day. The charge to do a payment on the website is not $9 as you disclosed, it is $7. Yes it is only 2 dollars but would it be too much to ask of you to disclose truth in your testimonial if you find it necesarry to post it on an internet site for all to see? If you have such a problem with Premier maybe it would be in your best interest to pay your balance or settle your account and take your bad credit history to another company and see how much "better" you are treated.

First Premier makes money by hook or crook

If you mail a check to First Premier, even 2 weeks early, many times you could be "late". I hear this from many people who complain against First Premier. Why? Because First Premier makes money off your late fees, on top of the hundreds of dollars in fees they already charge. And if that late fee sends you over your limit, they celebrate with a double whammy of an Over-Limit fee also! On top of the appearance that they are holding checks until they are late, they then tend to hold payments and not credit them to your account for up to 10 business days. When I asked why, they said, "because we are allowed to by law". They tried that "late payment" with me also, but I was able to successfully fight and win with the help of my bank, Bank of America. I had paid electronically through Bank of America at least two days before the due date, and Bank of America had proof that the payment was received on or before the due date. Still, it took Bank of America 3 telephone calls over two weeks to fix the issue and get the late fee reversed. I still praise Bank of America for one thing: They have immediately handled any electronic payment issue and fight for the rights of their customers. At least in this case, although First Premier is the only creditor I have ever experienced a problem with receiving a payment. Every other creditor that has received a Bank of America Electronic Payment from me, posts it one day early!!! Bottom line: If you are forced to deal with organizations like First Premier Bank, like some of us must, make sure you pay electronically from another bank (not their website at $9.00 a pop) so that you have a bigger dog on your side to fight their possibly illegal activities.

Try making your payment on time

First Premier's credit card program is designed for people who want to rebuild their credit responsibly. It is no wonder the bank has strict deadlines for payments and it only makes sense that you would be cut off before the bank incurs further charges from someone who has not made their payment on time. The "grace periods" of yesteryear are fast disappearing as more and more credit card companies have to deal with escalating charge-offs and late payments. Late fees are customary in just about any business on the face of the earth so having a lawyer is not going to solve your problems. Making your payment on time is your best bet and with First Premier, insures youi get on the road your better credit. It is the only company that has helped me rebuild a horrific credit history.
