Complaint Review: FIRST SOURCE ADVANTAGE

This company contacted my wife's place of business in connection to an old Capital One debt I had incurred but had been unable to keep current due to difficult financial reverses.

The outrageous violation commited by these folks has to do with the fact that the account was solely in my name, never my wife's. She had not been a party to it and, in fact, the account went back to before we were married. At no time was she added to it.

When I questioned the rep for First Source about this matter, he attempted to shrug it off. I believe this is in violation of FTC rules as well as the Fair Credit Act. It seems inappropiate that a legitimate outfit like Capital One would want to be associated with such rude, unprofessional types. I am not guiltless in this situation and I am certainly not attempting to weasel out of any legitimate obligation but these folks should be reined back in a hurry.
