Complaint Review: First Texas Homes/Gallery Custom Homes

Let this report serve as a warning!  First Texas/Gallery Homes is a rip-off!! 

These are the rudest people I have ever had the displeasure of working with from the sales person, to the builder, to the regional director, to the warranty representative, the assistant to the owner, to the Owner, they only want your money they don't really care about the customers happiness or satisfaction!

WE closed on our home on July 26th and although I love my house, I really hate that I had to purchase it from these awful people!  I wanted to cancel the deal but my husband wanted to give them another chance...

We first began to have problems with the salesperson losing Change orders or not completing them which lead to our first encounter with Kathy Self, she's very, very nasty...we had a concern with a change order regarding our fence that was not completed by the sales person, Ms. Self claimed we were attempting to get the fence for free but in reality we just wanted to inform management of the inefficiency of the design process.  There was change orders for colors, tile, granite, that were missing and/or doctored with the incorrect information...the design process turned out to be a disaster we had to go back in and go change order by changer order to make sure everything was correct, what a  complete mess!!

Our builder was a nervous wreck half the time always with some personal issues...which were not my issues!  The Builder's contractors urinated in my toilets and didn't even flush plus they left excessive trash everywhere during the build, even left a coke bottle of some foreign substance in the frame work behind the insulation after promising to remove all that garbage.  You want to know what the burn is on that issue...we were scolded for removing the insulation to check to see if it had been removed it and told we should not be touching anything!!  SAY WHAT!?  IF I'm spending my money I'm touching whatever I want to touch! 

Our home had several structural issues which had to be argued before being repaired such as doorways to small, closets that should be closets that were not, careless workers damaging walls, doors and appliances...etc.

WE recently closed on our home believing our nightmare had ended but nope it has not!  We have several warranty items that we cannot get any response to...the dishwasher has not worked since the day we closed but the warranty guy wanted to know what I did to the appliance to make it now work!  WTF! I believe that if you pay for new appliances you should get NEW and that you should not be replacing parts already, not even a month after purchase!  That's a defective product and should be replaced, right??!!  Just like the scratched stovetop, microwave and oven we had to fight to have replaced after being damaged by workers...uugghh!!

It has been a complete nightmare; I would not recommend this builder to any of my family, friends, co-workers or enemies!  The people at this company are rude, money hungry and have no empathy for their customers...my husband and I should have read this rip-off before we sealed this deal!  OMG!
