Complaint Review: First Union Financial Group

Do not feel stupid people, I got ripped-off by them too. I spoke with a woman named Lorraine Brown, who said I was approved for 5,000.00 with a 7% interest rate. I was told I would have to send the 1st 4 months payments of 823.00(that included insurance) my payments would be 168.05 a month for 3 years. They needed me to western union this money to a Gary Dawkins, so I did. Lorraine called me the next day stating that they required an additional fee of 468.00 to process the loan to my account. I told her no and she said they would refund my money. I've notified the BBB.

Just to let you people know, not too long after that, I received a phone call from a Heather Green at gateway loans stating that I was approved for 6000.00 @ 8% for 3 years. Of course I told her to go get bent. I got curious though and looked up gateway loans on the web. They show a list of their loan officers with pictures as well as their names and Heather's was not one of them. So be care about that as well.
