Complaint Review: First Union Financial Group

I was completely ripped off by this "so called company". They contacted me by phone after I applied for a personal loan on line. Chelsea Hogan (at least that's what she calls herself) called me to tell me that I was approved for $50,000. She needed to see my paystubs to verify my income.

After speaking in depth with her and reading more on their website (which looks reputible by the way) I faxed over my personal information; drivers license, social security, and pay stubs.

I was then emailed loan docs to sign and fax back. I did so. They requested the insurance payment up front and the first 4 months payments for collatoral. I told them I would send the first 4 payments, not the insurance money. She said she would talk to her supervisor and get it approved. She called back and supposedly it was approved. She then transfered me to a Joseph Caldwell who gave me the Western Union Information. I was instructed to use the green form and put it to the courier's attention: Gary Dawkins in Manhattan, NY. I followed his instruction.

The loan was to fund in the morning, realizing when I woke what a fool I was and that I was completely taken. No money in my account of course, when I called them (they screen calls with the automated system) I have never gotten them to pick up. With the WU fee and my first 4 payments, they took $2,343.99 of my hard earned money. How do these people sleep at night? I have filed reports with everyone and my attorney!
