Fitbit Google, Alphabet Charge 3 Display dims over two years until unreadable San Francisco CA

The display on my Fitbit Charge 3 dimmed until I could not read it in a dark room. Many features are unusable without the display. The warranty is far less than two years, but surely an expensive electronic device should last longer?

Adding insult to expense, I signed up for Fitbit's forums to see what other users' experiences were, and replied to a post about trouble people were having. I added my issues hoping to find solutions or reasons to buy a replacement: the screen dimming, constant nagging to pay for a subscription to see more of my data (on top of original price), broken wristband, data (non)privacy, frequent unreliable sleep tracking dropouts that last until you eventually notice because the device doesn't report them.

A more engaged company would find this feedback valuable.

"WilsonFitbit" deleted my post, and a second one where I reported the deletion and accused the company of censoring negative experiences.

Needless to say, this cemented a negative opinion of both the company and its products.
