Five Star Ford Lincoln did not furnish an owner's manual with the 2010 F-150 truck and was told that I basically had to buy one. Ashburn Georgia
On May 11, 2018, bought a 2010 F-150 from the dealership. After getting home with it, realized it didn't have an owner's manual in it. A couple of days later someone from the dealership called to get my feedback about my car-buying experience and I told them about the missing manual and was told that I could buy one from an auto parts store but I think she was confusing an owner's manual wiith a servive manual. On may 14, the salesman called and I told him about the manual and he told me that they would find me one. Because I had not heard anything from tem, on June 4, I called the salesman and asked had they made any progress finding or if they were even looking and was told that tey were still looking and I asked him to keep me informed. Icalled him again on June 11 and was told they wre still looking.
Frustrated about their lack of concern, on June 14 I called the GM and he told me that they do not check every vehicle to see if it has an owner's manual and that i thy had and furnished that tuc with one that the price would have been higher and they could get me one and I wou have to pay a high price for one. I understand the I bought the truck "AS-IS", but i also believe that they should have at least replaced te bad wiper blades nd put in an owner's manual before it was sold. I didn'complain about the wiper blades, I asked for he manual and was told that I would have to buy one.
I bught a Chevy truck back in 2003 fro a Nissan dealership that was missing the owner' manual and the warranty booklet and the went was out of their way and furnished me one. Five Star Ford will not be recommended to my friends or anyone else I know. the truck had other issues that I did not address, but it seems o me that they could at least furnish that owner's manual at "no charge. I turned the Five Star tag over so no one will know that I bought it from them.
