Flagship First Data Kyle Hicks www.flagshipmerchantservices.com Mislead by opening two accounts! Internet
In early August we were looking for lower rates for our website. We own two companies. We contacted Several merchants. Flagship Merchant Services had to be one of them :( We ended up getting Kyle Hicks. He seemed to be a nice guy. He really did! However, he wanted to do everything to get a sale of course. We asked him if it would be ok to have two accounts with First Data, since he was going to get us hooked up with them. He said he does it all the time! In fact, Kyle said, he was a Account Manager!!! O Waaaa... Anyways, he got us hooked up with the account, and problem after problem. We faxed over our copy of our check 5 times, he claims he never got it.. Then we get a call about 3 weeks later that our account has been locked up with over 10k in it and we cannot get it back for 6 months! Because we have 2 accounts and we are under fraud alert because we have two accounts with the same company name. I said to the security manager From First Data that the reasoning we have two accounts is because we have a sister company.
He said that the person who set your account up set it up incorrectly. The security manager asked me for invoices for our 2 orders, my drivers license, a bank statement, a phone bill. No problem. Sent it. 2 hours later, got a call. Still cannot release your money.
First Data has the Worst customer service Ever! Shame on you Kyle and Flagship!

The person filing the complaint should know that the issuing bank can hold a merchants funds if a transaction seems suspiscious. More than likely this person had ran a transaction that was over their approved amount or quite possibly could have taken a stolen credit card, whereupon the issuing bank will not pay the business as the card holder will not be responsible for the payment. It is every merchants responsibility to comply with their agreement and funds being on hold is an inherent risk of accepting credit cards. Opening two accounts for two different companies is how they needed to be legally set up and nothing was misleading or inaccurate.
The name Kyle Hicks should not appear anywhere in this complaint. It is the issuing bank that is holding the funds the consumer has an issue with.
