I reside in Eureka Gardens which is owned by Flagship Property. These apartments are subsidized meaning the rent is based on your income. You pay a portion and HUD (www.hud.gov) pays the remainder. These apartments are crime ridden. Drug dealers are everywhere. Firearms are everywhere. The lease clearly states that drug use and firearms are prohibited.

However, when the people who commit these irresponsible acts are reported to the "Apartment Manager" he does absolutely nothing. As a result there have been numerous shootings. One has resulted in a death. This is a very unsafe place to live.

If you were considering moving here please reconsider. You will be moving to a danger zone and your kids will be very unsafe. If you try to report anything to the apartment manager or HUD nothing will happen.

I cant believe that these people (Flagship Property) are getting money from HUD. They shouldnt be getting any government money because this place is anything but safe and to make matters worse the apartment manager just sits back collecting the rent and paychecks and does not take the initiative to remove tenants who are dangerous to others.

If you think I am overexxagerating unfortunantly I am not. There are tenants who damage others property(cars), sell drugs, use drugs, shoot guns at people and many other crazy things.

Basically everyone does what they want because they know that the so called "Apartment Manager" will not evict anyone. He claims that it is a "lenthy process." But I know thats just a bunch of hog wash. Single mothers if you were considering moving to any apartments owned by Flagship please dont do it.

There are other subsidized apartments. The list is a long wait but it will be worth it in the end. Because if you move in Flagship Property you will witness the above what I have mentioned and when you complain to the apartment manager he will brush it off.
