Flagstar Bank gave a mortgage to my Father's grandson for $70,000 and now the house is in the process of foreclosure.

They are demanding $82,000 which is a great hardship for Dad. The house has been appraised for $75,000. They have served Dad with a notice to start foreclosure. Dad has lived in this house which was totally paid off for 20 years.

In October of 1999, Dad had a serious brain surgery which left him mentally compromised. His son/my brother Douglas coerced him into signing his house over to him with life time rights. Within the month of July 2000, Douglas had this house in his son's name with Dad's life time rights gone. Within a few days, Matthew had a $70,000 loan on the house which he paid for approximately a year or so.

Anyhow both Douglas & Matthew have filed for bankruptcy. And of course, they have not paid Flagstar in months.
Through Dad's present lawyer, he has offered to buy back his house from Flagstar for $60,000 which they say they will only accept $82,000. However, they told the bankruptcy courts that $75,000 was due on this house.
Now they will not budge on the $82,000 and will likely throw Dad out of his house.

Dad is not a well person as he is turning 77 in Aug. and has some health problems. Dad is a retired firefighter & WWII Veteran. There has been no help for him. We have gone through 3 lawyer firms, FBI, DA's office, a local Detective, Elder Abuse & emailed politicians.

NO one has helped Dad except he has paid out $12,000 + to lawyers.
Also, Doug took $23,000 out of Dad's checking account using Power of Attorney. He had taken Dad out of a Rehab/nursing home & got him to sign Power of Attorney over to him. Dad did not know where he had gone or what he had signed.

Any help you can give would be greatly appreciated.
I think Dad has just lost. I do have 2 other good brothers that are likewise trying to help Dad. Dad lives in Canandaigua, NY.
Thank you
