Flare Effect Sold me two defective items and refused to provide refund

I ordered two FlarEffect orbi balls from this company and it took a month and a half to receive them initially by mail. Then when I did receive them, they did not work. The lights flashed for about 20 seconds but then immediately went off. I charged the items for several hours and they still did nothing other than have the lights flashing for about 20 seconds and then shutting off. I tried to contact the company by email but was sent an immediate response that the business was closed for over a week. By the time they responded to me it was past the 15 day return window. I requested a refund because the items did not work and would return the defective products to the company. They told me that they could not provide any refund due to it being past the 15 day return policy. After my next return email demanding a refund, they offered me $5 in compensation even though I paid over $45 for the items. After several email exchanges I told them I would settle for half the amount I paid which was $20. They refused. I feel that I was defrauded out of my money for two pieces of junk that do not work.
