I also contracted Lawrence Flaster and the Flaster Law Firm to handle a loan modification for me, in October 2010.  I paid the upfront fee in two payments and filled out all of the forms they sent. Supposedly, the modification was finally filed in December and acknowledged by Bank of America.

We too found ourselves dealing with multiple representatives of the law firm.  We were originally told that the modification would be completed by Thanksgiving and no later than January 1, 2011.  Needless to say, we were strung along for months with request for more bank statements and pay stubs.

In February, Bank of America sent us a letter stating that they would have the modification completed in 2 weeks.  In May, we received a letter telling us that our modification was denied, due the fact that we did not send them all of the documentation that they requested.

We have been facing foreclosure the entire time and had to hire an attorney here in Oklahoma to handle those proceedings.  We also dealt with Carter Lewis and Octavia Lewis of the firm and could never get a return phone call from them.  We found out in November 2011 that Larry Flaster's license had been suspended by the Florida Bar Association in May 2011.  This was never disclosed.

I contacted the Florida Attorney General about the fraud and they were less than disinterested.

Lawrence Flaster is a fraud and a con, as are all of the people that stayed with him.  There acts were criminal and no government agency will assist in this matter.  Chalk one up for shyster lawyers.
