I contacted Flat Rate Movers LLC in July after receiving only 2 quotes from moving companies.  Seth was the person who called me to arrange my pickup, scheduled for Friday, August 5th.

The movers came in a Ryder truck, which was okay, because I didn't have much to move...less than a studio apartment.  They were very polite and explained to me about the boxes I would have to buy to transport my king size mattress and box springs, and my flat screen TVs.  No problem there either as I understood the reason for that.  They also explained to me about the first available date I would be available for delivery and about the time schedule (anywhere from 2-15 business days) from that date.

I left Atlanta on August 9th, and that was when the counting was to begin.  On August 17th, I called the office to get an idea of my expected delivery.  I was told it would be delivered within the 2-15 day time frame (excluding weekends) and definitely by August 29th., which was the last day of the 15 day period.

So, I waited patiently until Monday, August 29th to see if I would indeed get my stuff.  Needless to say, it didn't arrive and Adam was no help.  He promises to call back but never does!  When I call again, he gives me the name and number of the driver to contact.  When I do get in touch with the driver, he's in New Mexico and not sure when he will be in the California area.

To make a long story short, I finally received my furniture on Tuesday, September 13th. which was more than 2 weeks after the guaranteed delivery date.  No one in that office EVER CALLED to give me an update.  Not one person!  The only call I received was from the driver when he was in the state of California, and that was after Labor Day. Nor was I offered an explanation or a discount.

Fortunately, everything was intact but the stress in waiting and wondering if I would ever see my things again was awful.  Lesson, you get what you pay for.
