In mid February I had applied for a Fleet credit card over the internet. Since that time I have been denied a card though them but given so much more. Acception from many other companies who already have my name, address, phone number and where I bank at.

I first was contacted by Credit Source a few days after my application to Fleet offering me a 1500 dollar credit card with a one time service fee of $297. To be directly withdrawn from my account on a later date I chose. Well it seemed legit he was very professional and even offered me some credit counseling. So he got what he needed and finally i asked so what company is this with? He replied Credit Source, gave his name and bunch of lousy, useless confirmation numbers and an 800 number that only goes to someones voice mail box called "customer service" As willing as he seemed to help me before he couldn't even answer my phone call now that he's getting ym money.

I felt leary of all of this thinking about it later, So I decided to looking in my browsers history. Sure enoughI applied for no other card but a fleet card. So I searched credit source and only got a credit advice co. that informs you it is a scam and to not give out any information. Too late. I had to go close my accounts and repay checks i had out with cash so that these jerks wouldnt get ym hard earned cash.

Since then I have recieved a letter in the mail from First National Bank of Marin approving me for $800 with a fifty dollar fee. That is when I found this site. I now look here whenever I recieve scam mail.

This morning I was contacted by "credit Helpers" who promise a 2,000 dollar card with two years worth of fees paid if I have them directly withdrawn from my account. She gave me the oppisite story. This card was to establish credit (which I am assuming she thought i had bad credit based on me being 19) and Credit Source wanted me to use their card to repair my credt. Neither know my story but butter everything up to sound good. I listened to this womans spill and finally told her I have already been scammed and am not going to fall for this mone. She lost her breath and said well check us out on the BBB and hung up on me... see how important my business was? I just laughed at myself.

Anyway about Fleet my husband has had a Fleet card for several years and no problem so far, besides that he owes them 10 thousand dollars. Their cards are legit. I just wanted you to know even though they offer real card, they also offer real information to people who bother you day in and out. I have read about several people losing their money to these scam companies. Please be aware of where you apply online and check their disclaimers to shring your information before you hit "submit"
