We ordered a replacement unit for our navigation/CD/Radio unit
beginning April 2011 through your parts department. After weeks of patiently
waiting for the part we finally received notice that it had arrived. Mid May
2011 your service department installed the unit. While driving for 20 minutes
the CD player stopped playing and the Navigation system stopped working. We
immediately contacted your service department informing them about the issues
we were having. The service department requested to work on the car again which
meant we were out of a car for the second day. At the end of the second day the
service department informed us that the unit we purchased was not the correct
unit and we needed to purchase an additional item at a cost of $1500
(navigation unit). We were never informed that this was necessary when we order
the replacement unit and we were not willing to pay this amount. Dennis
referred us to Janie from the parts department who initially totally ignored
our call and only after I left her the third voicemail indicating that I was
still willing to work with her but that I would take further steps if she did
not call me back. Janie called me back the next day offering me the navigation
unit at a reduced cost of $500. We are extremely disappointed that we were
misinformed about the unit in general but what concerned us even more is the
fact that your service staff also did not know two units were needed and we
were out of a car for two days. We are not willing to spend the additional $500
to the $1000 we already spend and we therefore like to have our old unit back.
Please respond to us by Friday, June 10, 2011 the latest on how we can get our
old unit back (installed) as you misinformed us about the unit in general.
