Flex Seal SRP Deceptive Sales practices, bait and switch, non existant return policy, inproper ORM shipment with FedX Coral Springs, Florida
This company has recently starting advertising a product called Flex seal, the man says it will seal anything from leaks, mostly to be used on roofs. To make the point he seals a boat with a screen door in the bottom, you may have seen this.
Do Not order this product, they have a phone system I have never seen before and it should be illegal. Once you start into their phone system they get your card number and then keep pushing you to add this add that and you are never given a chance to go back, review or correct. The biggest problem here is they never give you a total sales amount. I ordered the can for $19.99 and $9.99 shipping and handling, they offered me the larger can for an additional $4.99 with no additional shipping cost. This should have been a total of $34.97 but my charges on my Credit Card were $99.74, unbelievable. They give you no chance to correct anything and keep pushing to buy other items with no back key. Once you are into their system they is no navigating out. I knew this was no good once I gave my CC # sorry for me!!
I called this number 800-307-6201 immediately (within 5 minutes)and tryed to cancel this order and the 1st person told me I could not cancel for 24 hours since the system was not populated, this was Tuesday. I called back Wednesday and was told the same thing even with my screeming. I called back Thursday and was told they would call me and they never did. I called Friday and was told the order was shipped and there was no way to cancel this. When I checked on line my CC account I found it was billed on Wednesday while I was on the phone with them. Today Saturday I received a package, improperly labeled through FedEx as an ORM-D. I was told on Friday when I spoke to a Supervisor and had a melt down on him that he would email me an RA # for return, he never did.
If you google this company you will find the parent company is in Charleston, SC but the main office is in Coral Springs, FL. This area is homes so this company is working out of a garage. I was told by my Credit Card company they have had numerous calls on this company, there is over 80 filed BB charges and numerous letters over the internet. I have also reported them to the Florida Attorney General's office. Do Not use this company even though their product looks good, you will pay 3 times what it is advertised for and not be able to return the product, this company should be in jail.
