Good day,

My name is Robert Brunet and I was hoping maybe you can help me? I've been trying to rebook a flight with a credit when I had to cancel my original flight last year. I was told at that point that I would be required to use the credit by May of 2018. The original flight was from Edmonton AB to Sudbury ONT it cost roughly $580 or so. Flight hub then credited me - $75 so I should have around $480 of a credit, which I was ok with. Nothing was sent to me on credit regulation.

Moving forward to January 30 2018. I first contacted flight hub to use my credit so I can book a flight to Vancouver so I can meet up with my sister and my three nieces and enjoy a holiday in Whistler where two of my cousins will be meeting us as well all of whom I have not seen in over 10 years.

First call 8:00am on the 30th of January ended pleasantly enough after a 2 hour hold time I was told I would be contacted on a booking status within 24 hours.

No call back.

Second call 10:00am on the 31st again I was told I would now have to wait 24 - 48 hours as the flight provider has to confirm availability....... a flight booking agency has to wait for an available flight????

And so I wait.

Third call 11:46 February 2nd, transferred three times on hold for 1:45. Told to wait again for a call back on confirmation 24-72 hours.

Fourth call after waiting and waiting February 4th. 1:55pm to 2:30 pm. still nothing. Still no confirmation.

Fifth call February 5th 9:00am. Again no updates. Transferred 3-4 times and no confirmation. Again told that I would receive either an email or maybe a phone call...maybe.

I then called AIR Canada to ask about flight hub and was told that the ticket was booked through them and that AIR Canada is not responsible (fair enough, very pleasant and helpful).

I voiced my opinion on their FB page and wrote my story. I was contacted by someone on their FB page and was told they would pass this on to their help desk. 24-48 hours would be their wait time. Again.

Sixth call February 15th. I'm at my wits end. I told them I would not get off the phone until my booking was confirmed. 2.5 hours later we are finally getting somewhere, so I thought.

My original flight credit was $436.55

I've looked online with numerous flight providers and most tickets cost $200 or less.

They want me to pay a $139.00 transfer fee and $100.00 booking on top of the credit of $436.55. So basically they want me to pay $675.55 for a $200 ticket.

I don't know what else to do but ask for your help or walk away and lose out on $436. I know it isn't much but I was really hoping to have a flight taken care of and be able to enjoy my vacation with that expense covered.

Sincerely,

Robert Brunet.
