F.A.A. Is god awful terrible. The owners are only in it for the money and not for flying. The CFI's are good people, but the owners (Jack and Carrie) are useless wastes of space that should not be working or running a flight training school. If you truly want a GOOD school to learn how to fly without background BS I would HIGHLY suggest going anywhere but Florida Avaiation Academy. Beware of stupid people, this school is run by two of them.

You'll find that all the students there are international, none of them are from the US. I found out very quickly why that is. International students are required to put down a very large deposit (more than $10,000 USD). Domestic students can pay as they go. Anyone with half a brain that doesn't have a huge amount of money to lose will very quickly leave and find someplace else.

I was also becoming an expert during my short time there on what the FAA minimums were for maintaining aircraft. Suffered several cases of lost radio communication, one occurred whilst in a Bravo airspace. Also suffered failed magneto during take-off and almost had to land on the main road just past the airport. These are just a couple issues that I suffered. They will tell you that this is all within FAA standards, but frankly, a company should really hold itself to a higher standard. Avoid at all costs. One of the instructors quit after 3 days on the job due to these issues.
