On 21 September, 2005 I placed order # 11294 with Florida Gun Works (FGW) of Miami Florida. I have ordered off othe internet many times in the past and have never had an experience like the one with FGW.

I ordered two parts for a CAR-15/M-4 Colt rifle, one was for my use as a Law-Enforcement officer and the other was for my cousin serving in an Army National Guard MP unit in Iraq. The order was for $200.00 and was paid for with a credit card. The order was accecpted and processed immediately and my credit card was charged accordingly. Shipping was to be by Fed-Ex.

After approximately three weeks I e-mailed FGW with no response. I tried again and was advised that the order would be shipped soon. After another week I checked back and FGW advised me that the order had been shipped. After waiting another week I again checked back and FGW advised that the order had been shipped and would be arriving in 7-10 days.

After 10 days I again checked back and FGW advised that due to hurricane Katrina that it would be an additional 7-10 working days before the order arrived. That 10 days will not be up until Thursday 10 november, 2005, so I don't know yet what will happen, hopefully the order will arrive, if not then I will pursue legal action and readvise in an update.

I asked FGW every time I e-mmailed them for shipper and or tracking number information, this was never supplied.
I tried to e-mail FGW's order/sales department but that e-mail address was invalid, although the other e-mail addreses listed were valid.

FGW has replied to all of my e-mails, though not as promptly as I believe that they should have. I located this web site when I decided to investigate FGW as I was begining to believe that this was a fradulent internet company.

I noticed that some of the complainants stated that they never received e-mail responses at all from FGW and some stated that they received slow, incomplete or deceptive responses. I also noted that some complainants never received thier orders, while some received incorrect, patrial or non-functioning orders.

Also noted were a few people who received correct orders. But it seems that even on the correct orders that delivery was very slow compared to other internet company orders. I don't know what is going on with FGW, are they fraudulent or just incompetent, or maybe some of both.

It seems that on the orders people have actually received from FGW that they have had to theaten FGW with legal action and or to file a dispute with their credit card company to get a response or delivery of the ordered items.

Anyway in closing I hope that the items I ordered from FGW are delivered soon, but after reading this website I am worried that they will be not. I am glad that I found this website as if my order does not arrive by next week that I will do the following: notify my credit card company and file a dispute, notify the Miami-Dade Police department Fraud-Division and file a report and file a complaint with the FCC and the FBI Internet Fraud Division.

If anyone else has any other ideas as to who to talk to I would appreciate a response. One thing that I can state is that from now on I will stick to companies that I know that are legitimate and or check with this website for information.

I also will not be ordering any other items from FGW, the worst part of this is that my cousin in the military needs the part I ordered to do his job safely and he doesn't have it. I also noticed on this website a civilian contractor in Iraq from Austrailia. He ordered an item from FGW and eventually had to reorder it from another company. It would be criminal if these people were to be injured or worse due to FGW's actions or lack thereof.

The worst parft of this is that I found a local, reputable company that I could have driven to in an hour for these same items for less money.
Thank you.

FLORIDA GUN WORKS, MIAMI, FLORIDA UPDATE

#2Author of original report

Sun, November 06, 2005

I JUST WANTED TO ADD SOMETHING THAT BOTHERS ME AS AN ARMY NG VETERAN, AND ALSO MOST LIKELY BOTHERS USMC AND OTHER US ARMED FORCES MEMBERS AND VETERANS ABOUT THE FLORIDA GUN WORKS (FGW) WEBSITE.

ON THE BOTTOM OF THEIR WEBSITE PAGES THEY USE THE USMC MEMORIAL PHOTOGRAPH FROM WORLD WAR TWO WHICH WAS TAKEN ON MT. SURIBACHI ON THE ISLAND OF IWO JIMA. THIS IS THE ONE WHERE USMC AND USN SERVICEMEN ARE RAISING THE US FLAG ON TOP OF THE MOUNTAIN.

AS STATED IN MY INITIAL REPORT I DON'T KNOW IF FGW IS LEGITIMATE OR INCOMPETENT, BOTH OR WHAT THEY ARE. BUT AFTER READING ALL OF THE PREVIOUS COMPLAINTS ON THIS WEBSITE AND OTHERS LIKE IT, I WILL LET THE EVIDENCE SPEAK FOR ITSELF.

I DO NOT LIKE FGW USING THE USMC MEMORIAL PHOTOGRAPH TO SELL PRODUCTS, ESPECIALLY AS HOW THEY ARE TREATING THEIR CUSTOMERS.

A LOT OF AMERICANS DIED OR ARE CRIPPLED (MENTALLY OR PHYSICALLY) FOR LIFE WHILE DEFENDING THIS COUNTRY IN THE ARMED FORCES AND I DON'T BELIEVE THAT COMPANIES EITHER LEGITIMATE OR ESPECIALLY FRAUDULENT SHOULD USE THEIR SACRIFICES FOR COMMERICAL PURPOSES.

I WOULD BELIEVE THAT A LOT OF FGW'S CUSTOMERS ARE CURRENT MILITARY MEMBERS AND MORE ARE VETERANS, ALSO I AM SURE A LOT OF CUSTOMERS ARE ALSO LAW-ENFORCEMENT OFFICERS. HOPEFULLY THEY FEEL THE SAME WAY ON THIS AS I DO.

I CONTACTED THE UNITED STATES MARINE CORPS COMMANDANTS OFFICE OF COMMUNITY AFFAIRS AND ADVISED THEM AS TO WHAT I BELIEVE WAS THE IMPROPER USE OF THEIR (ACTUALLY ALL OF AMERICANS) MT. SURIBACHI MEMORIAL.

I TOLD THEM THAT I HOPED THAT THEY WOULD LOOK INTO THIS AND TO MAKE FGW REMOVE IT FROM THEIR WEBSITE.

THANK YOU.
