Florida Metropolitan University Kept all my grant money for a whole program when I only took 2 classes and dropped Internet
In 2004 I started taking online classes through FMU. They pestered me until I finally gave up, I was going through a divorce and thought it would be good to further my education if not at least my knowledge. I was already permantly disabled, and happened to be having surgery on my wrists in 2004. I had cysts growing out of my veins and they had to be removed. I quit the program. I received no refund for amount paid (it was paid in full by loads/grants)
Today I received a 2nd call in a month about these loans from the Dept. of Education, they consolidated them and want to garnish my wages. I'm disabled going through a trial period of work and I work 20 sometimes 25 hours a week if I'm lucky.
FMU owes this money back to the Dept. of Education or myself so that I may pay them back. They should not be allowed to keep all this free money and do with it as they choose!!!!!
Very Discouraged....Can anyone HELP???
