When I first got this card I notice that without ever using it I started getting all kinds of bills with all kinds of charges which I never understood and if I ever used it which was once or twice they would place a fee or some sort of charge. That is why we did not get to even use it, we got scared you pay, pay, and never have a realistic balance.

In turn I closed the account they ask me to pay a 250 dollar closing fee which I preferred than paying it. Ever after I have payed a never ending monthly payment and I see the balance all the time hardling decreasing. In fact I don't ever pay the minimum balance which is suppose to be 15 dollars.

I've payed 150 dollars all at once or usually 35 dollars, but what I see is that they keep charging, I keep paying and the balance never goes down.

Upon my husband pulling his credit report,as well as myself we noticed 6 reportings for a first natl bank of marin on his....5 bad reportings, and one stating a stolen card acct. I had 1 listing stating i had a joint acct. After calling them several times they were rude, and just tried to get us to commit to paying.(paying for what! it was never a credit card we had! escepially 6 accts with them!-7 if u count me) We contacted the attorney generals office, they in returned sent us a letter stating on dec 3,2001 the office of the comptroller of the currency(OCC) settled its case againest the FNB of Marin alleged are unsafe and unsound, and to pay restituation to customers harmed by these practices. You may want to try to contact: the customer assistance group
comptroller of currency
1301 mckinney street #3710
Houston texas 77010
1-800-613-6743

We called and faxed our info to them, proof of correspondence, trying to get some kind of signed contract by either myself or my husband, they (first natl bank) would never respond-i had it,and filed with the attorney generals office. At the following:

Office of the attorney general
555 east washington ave suite 3900
las vegas,nevada 89101
702-486-3786
fax:702-486-3283

Id definantley contact them. Needless to say--after recieving this letter from them,I recieved a letter from first natl bank stating it was error and all reporting would be removed off our reports. And they were! I hope this helps! Good luck!
