I took my Pontiac to Buddy and his family to have them troubleshot a few issues I was having with. I was told that it would around a week and an estimate of worst case senario cost was given. Fast forward 3 weeks and I have heard nothing when I call to check up I was told they were still working on it and they were slammed with other work. I figured ok fair enough.

Almost 6 weeks go by before I hear that they are ordering more parts since they were unable to locate the miss and that the price would not exceed the estimate. Finally 3 months later I am told to come pick my car up, and boy was I excited until I got there....

The bill was almost 5 times what I was quoted for the original repair and I authorized none of the overage at all. They even went so far as to charge me for them to google search where to buy parts. I have never had any shop do that to me before. I even got charged for things they screwed up on such as scratch repair, wiring repair from them messing up the wiring harness etc.

I was told that the bill was what it was take it or leave it. If I didn't pay within 30 days they would be glad to sell my car. After finally barrowing money I paid the highly inflated bill. Low and behold this isn't the first time they have done this to someone. After talking to people at swap meets they told me this is how Buddy and his family make a living and fund their racing. After a little research it appears people have not only complained on here but also filed lawsuits against them many times over.

It seems everywhere from performace parts stores, swap meets and even at the local track there are people who have heard about how they do business. On here alone it seems like they did the samething to someones race motor and someone else's classic car. The stories at the my local parts dealer are that the've stole everything from classic cars to racecars using this method. Extremely sad way of doing bussiness. I hope no one else gets taken by them.

First  I am sorry they took advantage of the situation with your Pontiac. Yes this is how they do business and it's how they make money to support their overpriced life which they can't afford among the other bs they do. If you don't believe they are shady look up their incorporation documents on sunbiz the address is posted at a closed down entertainment district area called RT 46. Last time I checked Buddy did not ever do business at this address. If someone really wants to put a stop to this they can. They will need to be a victim of the said or similar situation above and need to contact the Florida Deparment of Agriculture. What Buddy does in these posts is not just wrong it's illegal. You need to read into the requirements of a auto repair business (that's what Buddy's LLC is I don't care how your put it) to understand what I am getting at. The least anyone can do is write a review for possible future victims not to fall into this same mess. Believe it or not most people look to the Internet to see reviews on a business before they approach them. Facebook and Yelp are the most common. https://www.facebook.com/HendricksMotorsports/?fref=ts https://www.yelp.com/biz/buddy-hendricks-motorsports-sanford Good Luck
