Complaint Review: Florida Shuttle Transportation

I scheduled service with this company to travel from Vero Beach, Florida to Orlando International Airport in Orlando, Florida.  I booked the reservation online and the fee was subtracted from my bank account.  The booking was done 48 hours in advance of the scheduled trip.  On the date of the trip (am)  I called to confirm and to inquire as to where to wait for the shuttle.  About 2 hours prior to the time of leaving, a representative called me and said the shuttle was going to be delayed for 2 hours.  I was unable to wait due to my plane leaving.  He told me I would receive a refund and when I explained that this was a terrible inconvenience due to me now having to try and find another way to the airport (1.5 hour drive) on short notice.  He did not even apologize but said to me, "It is what it is."  

 

I found another service and was able to make the airport in time for the flight.  I waited 5 days and still had no refund.  I begain calling and emailing the company asking for someone to contact me to ackknowledge my request for refund.  I made 10 calls and send 6 emails, a post on their Facebook page, and online chat.  After 9 days I still had no refund nor had anyone contacted me.  I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau.  Finally, two days later I received a notice from the BBB that the company had responded.  It appears that they issued my refund (transaction ID was provided).  I waited until the next day and checked my bank.  Still no refund so I called the bank to see if the transaction was pending.  I was advised by the bank there was no pending transactions.  I contacted the business again and was told to wait as it may take another 7 business days for the refund to process.  I will continue to follow up but I recommend to anyone who is considering using this business to look elsewhere!  

After I filed my complaint, I searched and found numerous people who are having the same problem with this company.  They take your money but then don't provide the service.  As for refunds, well we will see if they make good on their promise to refund my money.  I probably would not have given such a bad review if someone would have at least:

  1. Apologized for the inconvenience;
  2. Contacted me after several inquiries;
  3. Promptly issued my refund

This is just common sense and is how most businesses treat customers; however, not Florida Shuttle Transportation they are outright rude and inconsiderate!  I can't remember ever having such problems dealing with any other business in all my years!  This was absolutely the worst experience I have ever had dealing with a business and has been very time consuming trying to follow up with receiving the refund that I am legally due.
