Florida State Disbursement Unit FSDU Paid Child Support, they cash the check, post to the wrong account, my ex-wife can't pay rent Internet
I paid child support through the State Disbursement Unit on July 28, 2011. The check appeared cashed on August 3rd, 2011. As of August 12, 2011 my ex wife did not get the money and has to pay over $150 in late payment.
I called FSDU I spoke to a person by the name LISA who talks with a bad attitude and told me that they will research and it will take 10 business days. I said is not acceptable and she says there's nothing I can do. I said I want to talk to a supervisor. She said they'll respond in 24 hours. I said is not acceptable. Is Friday and my ex-wife has to pay rent. My ex nd my kids don't need to go through this crap.
After 3 consecutive calls in which I was getting more and more upset because of the rudeness of the clecrks and denial of help, a lady by the name Lakshawn answered and asked me for more detailed information about the check. She was nice and found the check in the system in no time. She told me that she sent the information for the refund and took care of it. YET, the money will not be available before the next 10 business days.
What is the objective of the central repository? To hols billions of dollars of child support and have no accountability? They probably have more floating money than any bank in the state. Yet when the mess it up they don't care about the consecquences.
Is this not a rip off??????
