STATEMENT FROM FLORIDA WATER ANALYSIS:
First of all, the systems they sell at sam's club are not the same. Our systems are built differently than any other Watt's 5 or 6 stage RO systems. We have them replace the cheaper sea tec fittings with American made John Guest fittings, and we upgrade the faucet from what comes with the kit with a designer lead free faucet. We test each system here in our shop for TDS (Total Dissolved Solids) and for leaks before it goes in a home, and we have a 2 million dollar liability policy in case there are any problems. We do all of the installations, visit every year at no charge, and do not charge any labor for replacing filters when they are needed. Full service costs more. Sam's sells a cheap system in a box, and you are on your own after that with little or no warranty. We sell a better quality system that is pretested, comes with full service and a lifetime warranty. If you go to any of the box stores you will find builder grade or less items. That is why they are so cheap. And almost always you will find the staff knows next to nothing about the item. When you have us do a job, it is done start to finish, and you have no worries for life. We take care of everything. So it is your choice, but lets look at this from another angle: If you are an experienced Carpenter or Electrician, how can you justify charging more than you paid for your materials? The light switch only cost $.88 at home depot, why did you charge me $450? Why does it cost thousands to build a wall when the materials only cost hundereds? Does the carpenter and electrician not have the right to feed his family and pay his bills? Only business owners know what the real costs of doing business are. Trucks, buildings, staffing, advertisement, the list goes on and on. What happens when there is an issue with the sams club RO? Who do you call when you hook it up wrong and it floods your kitchen? There is a HUGE difference between doing it yourself and having the professionals do it for you. In most cases, it is better that you let the professionals take care of it. But it is your choice.
