Complaint Review: Florida Water Testing Inc.

In March 21, 2007, I purchased a Reverse Osmosis and water softener for the outside pump.  The water softener never worked properly and a year later they came out and replaced the filters on the Reverse osmosis under the sink.  I did not ask them to, I had called and told them it was using too much salt and he changed all the filters and I didn't know they were going to charge me for them, they did not say until he had already done it, I though it was just a routine one year check up on the units.  I complained about the salt to the service man and he just called and tried to get more paraphernalia to add to this for another $3000.00, but it wouldn't go through, so he left and left everything right there, no salt adjustment or anything.  I called the office and spoke with Lisa Merrill which was a very rude person and she said that I owed her money.  I explained to her that it wasn't working and I am not payinig for something that cost that much that did not work, so she said she would sent someone out the next Thursday.  I waited all day and no one showed up.  She also said that when I first got the system that my credit almost did not go through, I told her so as long as I had bad credit that I don't deserve to have my unit work, what has my credit got to do with the rotten service you get from this company?   They lie and I am sure they will not even come out if I did pay for the filters that I did not ask them to change.   The unit outside just sits there and is not doing anything, the salt reserve is still full and it hasn't done anything for forever. 

I want to know if they keep on selling the no good products for such an outrageous price how can an honest person trust anyone?  I am 66 years old and I have adopted a son to raise and I have to watch my money, I used to have a watersoften and it was a really good one, but it was rented so I was going to get a good one.  This unit is not near the quality that the other unit was and it cost several thousand more with less delivery.  People like this need to be put out of business or at least made accountable for all the damage they have caused to ones bank account, they are licenced thieves.
