i took my car to Fluhr's(over an hour drive) because it wouldn't shift into overdrive. it acted like an electrical problem. ed fluhr looked it over and said the transmission needed rebuilt. i told him if was sure that would fix it to go ahead, so he rebuilt it and called me a couple days later.         i went to pick it up and paid for it, and within 5 minutes of leaving his shop i realized nothing had changed on my shifting. i took it back and he pulled the transmission out again and put about every new part possibe into it(such as sensors, valve body,ect..)          he called me back and told me that didn't fix it either.  while they had it i tried calling and left messages, but they would never return my calls. i drove over to check on it(over an hour drive) and it wasn't even in the shop.              after sitting for over 2 months he told me he couldn't figure it out, but i needed to come get it or he will start charging storage fees. when i showed up to get it him and his wife showed me that they had busted a seal when they where replacing the transmission and it was leaking fluid. they wanted me to leave it longer.         i paid my bill and took the car to another shop where they found it was only a knock sensor in the engine keeping the transmission from shifting (Ed Fluhr found that out the first time he had my car because he showed me on his scan tool that was showing up) but he decided to replace the transmission instead. RIP OFF!     After fixing the shifting problem i had the other shop fix the exaust system where fluhr's had messed it up and the axle seal that they tore up.

That was a waste of about $3,000 to take my car to Fluhr's!

Thr Fluhr's have been in business in this community for about 8 years now. They are not only reputable, but stand by the work they fix and warranty their work. If you have them fix a vehicle,  and it isn't right, there may be more going on inside the transmission or motor. It also has happened that faulty parts get produced and those parts are happily replaced. Both Mr and Mrs Fluhr work diligently to provide solid customer service and quality repairs for all of the vehicles that they service. I personally have witnessed a few customers leave the parking lot and hot rod the vehicle down the roadto see if it is truly fixed, thus breaking any weak part or destroying all the work the Fluhrs have put into the repairs.  Some people get mad when you make them pay for the quoted repairs. Some people have buyers remorse because transmission work is REALLY expensive,  but really necessary in order for a vehicle to work properly. In summation,  the work that Fluhr's provide is solid and worthy but expensive work. (They are about 40% cheaper than any competition) I believe they have done no wrong and anyone reading the above slam against them,  take it with a grain of bitter salt. Sometimes you just can't please people unless you work for free....just sayin'
