Fly Free Travel called me up although I am on the no call list, and do not know how they got my number. They knew my full name, and told me I was 1 of 20 lucky winners of a travel package worth $12,000.00 that would be deposited into my checking account. I didn't give them all the numbers on my account, making them unable to touch it, but they said they needed my authorization for a one time fee of $299.00 that would be taken from my account after their deposit was made. Somewhere in the conversation, the caller used the word government a few times, I suppose to make it seem more legitamate.

I was extremely leary, never gave them my full account number, and hung up on the guy, then called my bank and alerted them to this scam. After hanging up from my bank, this man called me back. I told him I'm on the no call list, do not call me again, and I hung up. The phone number he had given me previously isn't correct, rather it is a Spanish speaking Mortgage company.

I did not get ripped off, but others might fall for it, so I write just to alert anyone else not to give your account numbers over the phone to anyone.
