Complaint Review: FLYCELL

FLYCELL I recently subscribed to flycell to get ringtones for my new phone and on their website it is well advertised that they service the alltel network so they deducted $9.99 from my prepaid account for the subscription and when i proceeded to download a ringtone i was informed that they do NOT service alltel and i would not be able to get my money refunded to my account. I just want my money back... INTERNET

I subscribed to flycell the morning of May 3, 2008 and on their website (in the terms of use section) I know, as I read very carefully more than once, that they advertised the servicing of cell phones on the alltel network, which is my cellular provider. So I subscribed with the intentions of downloading ringtones and wallpapers for my phone and they deducted $9.99 from my pre-paid account.

Once I had subscribed I began to search through the ringtones and found one I was interested in and attempted to download it, when a screen popped up informing me that they currently do not support or service cellular phones on the alltel network. From there I looked for a customer care/service number where somebody could be reached.

Once I had the number I called and went through the automated system and finally got a representative on the line. I reported the problem and he tried to say that their home page clearly stated that they did not support alltel customers ( along with serveral other networks that the initial webpage clearly stated they serviced) and as such there was nothing the site could provide me with other than text alerts informing me of new things the site had to offer.

I then proceeded to ask if they could refund my money onto my prepaid account ( as they had a refund policy I read about prior to subscription should anything go wrong). He then informed me that they could not refund my money nor could they service my cellular phone.

All I want is either for them to refund my money to my account or provide me with the ringtones that my credits would have accounted for. Also, if they are not going to service certain networks then they should make no such claim of doing so and futhermore should not charge the account of one of those service's customers.
