FMI aka Buchanan Trucking aka Lakes Area Trucking ripoff; hauled load for these people (Rob Loots) FMI; signed agreement to pay in 14 days; never paid; made constant promises; check in the mail; etc.... now filed on section 7 against shipper. these people are scam artists.., DO NOT DEAL WITH THEM. Hauled a load for Rob Loots @ Freight Movers, Inc., he signed an agreement to pay in 14 days; I have since found out that he was operating fraudulently under freight forwarder license that have never been granted, also that this same individual has had many company names at the same physical location and just keeps ripping off truckers by closing under one name and reopening under another. Apparently someone at the shipper's is in cahoots with them because after contacting the shipper I finally received return phone call from Mr and Mrs Loots, one return call from Mr. Loots showed a number on caller ID of Buchanan Trucking and when I called the number back it answered Buchanan Trucking.
The other number called by Ms. Loots showed one number off from the number Mr Loots called from and it showed FMI. The shipper said they were not obligated to pay me for hauling the load, however the Federal Trade Commission says different and I informed them of this and billed them. If necessary I will turn this over to a collection agency. OOIDA is building a file on these people for prosecution. If you are a victim of these people contact OOIDA and tell them your information. Do Not Haul anything for any company out of Ottertail, MN and beware of hauling for any company out of Battle Lake,MN.
