eceived a phone call on 13 December 2003 where someone promised me a $2500.00 credit card, but I to allow them to withdraw a fee of $299.00 out of my checking account.

I asked the individual on several occasions if the amount was $2500.00 because I was so shocked about the amount. The individual whose name was Noreen stated that it would be a credit card which I could use to make purchases with and had a $2500.00 credit limit and within 3 months it could be increase.

After she took all of my information, she informed me that the withdraw would take place on 5 January 2004, and I would receive my credit card 15 - 20 days after they received my payment. She then proceeded to give me her name and said I could call her back and gave me an extension number so I could speak directly to her. At this time another gentleman got on the phone and basically asked me yes and no questions about the information I had provided to Noreen in which he informed me our conversation would be recorded. Also, that any questions I might have should be held off until he was finished. However, he finished and then hung up.

I immediately called back and another female answered I informed her of what Noreen had told me and that I wanted to speak directly to her. The individual informed me that Noreen was in sales and she had no way of transferring me to her. I asked this lady about the $2500.00 credit card and was told the same as everyone had explained to me.

On January 6, 2004 a fee was taking out of my account from a company called FNBenefits. On 28 January, I contacted someone at 866--933-0338 and informed them that I still hadn't received my credit card. The individual stated that there was a delay and I should be receiving it within the next 7 - 10 days.

On 7 February, I called the number for FNBenefits and explained to the gentlemen that I had still not received my package. He asked me what kind of Resolution I was looking for? He said he could try to get me a refund unless I wanted to wait a few more days. I stated I would. On 10 February 2004, I called the 866-933-0338 number and started to explain my situation again to a representative. The first words out of this representative's mouth were what's your problem. I explained that I still had not received anything.

Well, today 12 February I received a package with a bunch of papers on benefits and other junk mail. There was a membership card which had a website to go to to activate my membership. I went to this website www.myworldofbenefits.com and I was unable to access the site.

I paid this company in good faith and expected the same from them. Please advise me or have someone contact me if there is any legal action which can be taken.
