We schedculed our move with this Company three weeks prior to our move. We were givng a estimate of 5 hours at $90 per hour for four men. Due to the closing of our home getting moved by a couple of days I called and verified that this was not going to be a problem, they advised us they could move it up just not push the date back whichw as not a problem for us.

The day of our move which was November 23rd the movers were to be there between 12pm-2pm within that block of time. At 1:00 we recieved a call from the customer svc dept. stating they were running late. I did not have a problem with this at that time, we were told two hours late. I was fine with it. I could do some last minute things so, we waited and waited FINALLY after three phone calls at 6:00 two gusy show up, keep in mind I requested four but on the third call I requested five since it was getting late in the day, and Donna who we were dealing with said she could do this.

When the two guys got there I asked where the other part of the crew was they said thwy were coming but were lost? Ok, so they started working and only worked for 30 minutes they were told to stop working until the other part of the crew got there. WELL AFTER AGGITATED, very furios, hostile calls the owner DAVID and Avy and the other three guys showed up. The owners split after forty minutes or less and one guy supposedly got hurt but come to find out it's cause he was lazy and didn't want to work the other guy talked on his cell phone the whole time.

The other three starting packing the truck, got into a huge argument that the whole neighborhoold and apt complex could of heard, they almost got in a very violent fist fight in my home. The one guy Lee cussed me and threatend me, which by the way I am a woman, so that was even worse.

I had to call customer service and demand someone come or I was going to call the police. The guys stopped working cause they were arguing. Donna had to come to my home, reprimand her employees like children and finally after no work from 10:30pm until 12:55pm they started to finally work and pack more of the truck.

We dropped off one load to my new home and THEY refused to carry items up stairs when they KNEW this was a job that included a flight of stairs. My husband and I are both disabled, both visually impaired and we had to carry dressers, mattresses two tv's, a armoire and other stuff like boxes cause they were to lazy to do it, or too tired.

Come to find out they had been working 18 hours with no rest and came to do our job which by the way was a max of a 7 hour job if they wouldn't of been childish and lazy and trying to fight each other. After the second trip WHICH by the way my spouse had to help them, as a customer the whole reason you hire a moving company is so you don't have to do it.

Well guess what my spouse did most of the work, two of the employees wre pretty nice. I felt really bad that the one older gentleman had to work that late. They finally got finished at 8am. Lee one of the employees became biligerent and called me words in my home that I have never used in my life, words I would never ever use, words that you should absolutly never use towards a customer NOR A LADY AT THAT.

They overcharged me on things like packing, all my stuff was packed. From my old him to my new home is 7.2 miles there was no reason to use BUBBLE WRAP on glass items that could of been put in the car and could of been cushioned with blankets as I requested, there was no reason to box pictures, it was a seven mile trip not a long haul trip!

They left items on the outside of my home we didnt' find for days! They gave no discount, and they were sent a cerfitied letter and given a detailed letter of how our move went, the owners Avy and David knew how our move went their one employee Calvin called them constatnly and told them how their one employee was acting which by the way I believe that employee was one drugs, trust me. I had eight broken things. Things that were moved across country four times with no problem but yet they some how broke it within a eight minute drive!

I recieved no apology or anything, they over charged on stuff and the service we received was outrageous. A move that should of taken a min of 5 and a max of 7 hours took over 24 hours, keep in mind that the next day was thanksgivng day. Becuase of their negligence and petty fighting we had no thanksgiving, we got to move items upstairs that we paid them to do and they didn't do!!

Well these people were not contractors they were employees. This company has had many many many complaints. I would move my stuff myself or not move or carry the stuff by walking it to my next residence before I gave Focus another chance. They are horrible and the owners they know they have ripped you off and they don't care. This company just sucks period.

I am a contractor (by the way, most of us are contractors and self emplyed) for a well known and reputable moving company in Castleton, In. We have an agent in Garland, Tx by the name of Metroplex Movers (Wheaton Van Lines) I have personally worked with them many, many times and they are excellent. From the owner, to dispatch, to the help I get when I hire workers from their warehouse. Please give them a chance if you need to move again, You won't be disappointed this time.

I recieved a call back in July from Avey, who offered to resolve this issue. What a joke. I requested $700 he said he'd give me $200, I told him that was not resonable and he said I'm sending you $200 anyway and guess what here it is October 21st, 2006 and still no check,,, so it's obvious these people don't care about their customers.

I've filed reports with the better business bureau which they didn't respond, I filed a report with the department of transporation, my attorney general and some rescue movers assocation and still no resolution,, these people are awful i would rather move my stuff myself or hire some stranger down the road next time..

Respond to this Report!
