Complaint Review: Foley's

Foley's mistreated and ripped off the business that doesn't give a dam victimized many consumers Irving Texas

Aug. 4 I wrote 2 checks to Foley's in the total amount of $40.77. Later that night my purse was stolen & the bank account had to be closed. The bank was told the number of the checks & the amount but still they returned them to Foleys with a code that indicated there was a problem with the account. These were not insufficient checks, they were suppose to have been paid.

The store called me on 8-20 to report the returned checks. At that time I was informed that I could mail them another check to cover it. Later that day I went to a local grocery store & my check was declined due to a "hold" on my driver's license number. When I called the SCAN company, I was told Foley's had reported my checks as insufficient & until I took care of them, I was not going to be able to write checks. I called back to Foley's & was told I could put it on a credit card to speed up the process.

I gave them a number & they then told me that it would take 2 business days to get this removed from SCAN. They refuse to return my check, they refuse to give me any kind of reciept that this was taken care of & they refuse to speed up the process of removing my name from SCAN. I talked with Angel in check return department, then to her supervisor Sid. No one will work with me even after explaining my situation. My attorney said they are required to send my checks back, but he refused. He also said when I get my credit card statemnet, it will have the Foley's charge on there & that is all the proof I need. He told me that I would have to talk to his supervisor tomorrow.

I was a victim of a crime & what happened was beyond my control but no one so far at Foley's seems to care. They want to continue to victimize me & make me feel like I did something wrong. All I want is my returned checks. I will never walk into a Foley's again!

I think your bank is at fault

I think that the party at fault here is your bank. All Foleys is doing is following their procedures to cover their butt. They have no way of knowing if you are somebody who goes around righting bad checks or if you were an actual victim. The bank was told and should have paid the checks.
