I was the assistent manager of Moes Grill. I had proof that the company was stealing my labor hours worked as well as my employees. I addressed the mangement and owners and within 10-12 hours was terminated. I was never served any paperwork for the reasons. The General Manager and her husband verball accused me of calling the company theives and liers. They claimed they had this information on video camera could not provide proof of such. I was falsly accused of actions and the company obvisiouly found me to be a threat because I caught onto to the company taking my hours and rearranging my hours worked to take away from overtime worked as well. One of the owners I spoke with acknowldged that he was finding the hours that were shorted and was calculating them to repay me. When he claimed he was checking into futher mistakes, I was terminated in the meantime. I was given no explaination documented on papaer. All I recieved was accuasations instead. The owner since then has called me to see if I had any verification of these actions that have taked place. He was dishonest on the phone and worried that maybe I would be speaking out to an attorney to resolve this matter. There is more involved in this situation beside the company stealing my wages. They also stole our tips repeatedly, the General Managers husband was using abusing perscrition drugs while he and I were running caterings. He wanted me to take money from accounts of the caterings, and the owner made several sexual advances to me. When I made myself very known that I was not taking part of any of these immoral activities, was when the problems got worse. It was like they were trying to get me to quit my job. When they knew that I caught them stealing from payroll, was when I was terminated. Since then, I have struggled great hardshiip for myself and my children. This is so wrong morally, professionally and ethically. I want help in direction as to resolving this matter. Is there any way I can get my wages that I worked so diligently for? Also, I want to stop individuals that behave in such manners so that this won't happen to someone else.
