The other day, I received a circular from Food Depot with their weekly ads. One of their advertised specials was Kraft Mayonaise, 32 ounces for $2.99. I went to the store and they had their display for the advertised price of $2.99. After I got home, I realized that their ad was wrong. The jars of Kraft Mayo were only 30 ounces, not the 32 ounces as advertised.

I spent twenty minutes trying to fine a corporate contact on line but the only one listed was in Baltimore, MD and they have a disclaimer that they are not affiliated with stores in Georgia.

18 cents makes a difference when it is multiplied by the number of occurances it happens to me.
- Since this appears to be a common occurance for you why didn't you double check the label before you bought the mayo?

If this two ounces is that much of an issue to you why don't you just return it and get the entire $2.99 back?

But there is another option.  Let's say that the company that did the ad knew that it was only 30oz and they intentionally put in 32oz.  Now, if the store didn't catch it and didn't post a correction you may have a good case for misrepresentation.  Especially if you can prove you only bought the mayo because it was 32oz and not 30oz.   If this is the case then go find yourself a lawyer who will take this "rock solid" case on contingency.  Good luck and let us know how that goes.

I am retired on disability. 18 cents makes a difference when it is multiplied by the number of occurances it happens to me. It also makes a difference to the total number of jars of mayonaise they sell.

I would have called corporate but there is no number listed on the internet except for Baltimore, MD. They have a disclaimer that they are not affiliated with Food Depot in Georgia.

I would bet that between the ad being written and the sale...

Kraft changed the size and kept their price the same. BTW, what is your time worth?  Looks like they would owe you about 18 cents.
