Complaint Review: For Our Kidz

For our kidz is a non profit organization that allows volunteers to work in concession stands to receive funds for our kids school activities, etc. Money is definitely involved here. They will say that as volunteers we cannot expect to receive any monies, but we are always paid for our activities. I have receipts to prove it. No one would do this if not for themoney.

I had been with the group for approximately 3 years and I noticed a lot of people leaving. They had not been paid, etc. DiANN would always proclaim thatit was never her fault. Well, things began to catch up to the organization and they started losing big contracts, which meant less fund raising opportunities. As there were other non profits doing the same fund raising I decided to work with them at the events where for our kidz lost contracts. I proclaimed to DiANN that for our kidz would be my priority. I was shocked when I was told if I did that they would no longer schedule me.

I didn't fund raise all summer because they did not get the Cricket contract, but I did notice that two of the guys were doing what I wanted to do and there was no problem. For our kidz continued to schedule them. So, I jumped in with them and expected to be treated as they were being treated. Another woman also joined us. DiANN continued to schedule the men , but did not and will not schedule the women that are doing exactly what the men are doing.This is blatant discrimination and retaliation.
