For The Love of Boxers Low Standard Breeder with Unhealthy Pups Merrimac Massachusetts
Last year, I purchased a puppy from For the Love of Boxers. Within the first few months, my puppy was diagnosed with an autoimmune disease and horrible allergies. The autoimmune disease is a genetic issue. My pup is also very under sized. An average boxer is supposed to be in the range of 55-70 lbs. My dog is full grown at 45lbs. I started talking to others who had purchased pups from this breeder as well. Many of them with the same issues. We had posted these issues on the breeders FB page and of course the feed was deleted.
No one has been allowed to see the parents either. The breeder will not even show a picture. When you visit the pups, there are no signs of dogs in the house. But there is a new little of puppies available almost every month.
I do not know if this qualifies as a puppymill/backyard breeder but from my experince and the stories of others - the breeder's standards seem to be quite low prducing small unhealthy pups.
