Force Factor Force Factor Bad Business Practices Chattanooga, Tennessee
Purchased an advertised free trial offer from Force Factor. Initially paid for shipping & handling to try their product. Received their product and about a month latter noticed a $75 charge on my bank account. At first did not recognize the charge, but then recognized the name Force Factor. I knew I had not authorized this charge or at least knowing did not authorize this charge.
I went back to the free trial offer website and saw the fine print whereby when ordering their trial offer I was signing up for a subscription to receive a monthly supply for $75. I had to put on reading glassed to read the fine print.
I immediately called the company, they went through their speech of you signed up for the subscription. I said fine I now see the fine print, but cancel it. The customer rep. canceled the subscription and emailed me a cancellation email and email on returning the 1st monthly supply they had just charged me for.
I returned the supply back un-opened with the original tracking # validated by the post office as good for returning the product. Two months had gone by and no refund, what a surprise. I decided to call the company and inquire. Talked to the rudest customer service rep. I think I have ever spoken with.
I inquired about the refund. The customer rep. told me at first they had never received the payment. I told the customer service rep. yes you did. He put me on hold for a couple of minutes and came back and the first thing he asked rudely are you still there? I said yes, he then went on to say that they had never received the product back and they could not issue a refund. I told him that I had the tracking number and the receipt where I had paid to send it back, he just kept saying they never received it, then he said it was my responsiblility for not canceling the subscription. I the customer rep. if your company would make it where you can read it I would not have ordered the product. At this point this was going no where and wasting my time. I told the customer rep. this is a waste of time and he tried to keep me on the phone longer to argue his point. I just hung up the phone.
This company has very bad business practices. I do not know how it stays in business. I tried the trial product and it seemed to help me. I found another product for a lot cheaper off the shelf that works just as good. I might have continued using their product if they did not have sleezy business practices. After I that bad customer service experience I will never buy anything from this company again no mater how good their products may be.
