Ford Credit is invloved in the shady practice usually reserved by lowball, predatory credit card comapnies of holding over online payments for a random number of days until late fees can be accrued. There is an advertised 10-day grace period but any payments made on or after the initial due date are held at least two days or more, and they love to use weekends as an excuse.

Yes, the bill should be made before the initial date but sometimes things do happen and there shouldn't be a grace period advertised if it is not honored.

Furthermore, Ford Credit's site is disjointed into several different domains, and finding the information you need can be tedious. I recommend that if you desire to buy a Ford, Lincoln, or Mercury product, that you secure financing through a reputable bank that will take your online payment the same day and not use underhanded tactics to collect late fees to cover their losses.
