Ford Credit ripoff, untrustworthy, lied, set us up with a promise then lied. Colorado Springs Colorado

ON 1-11-06 WE HEARD A KNOCK ON THE DOOR,WHEN WE ANSWERED IT WE FOUND IT WAS THE REPO MAN COMING TO PICK UP MY 1999 FORD RANGER. OUR MINDS WENT BLANK. IT HAD TO BE A MISTAKE. I HAD JUST MADE A PAYMENT AND FORDS RECIEVED IT ON 1-10-06 SO THERE HAD TO BE A MISTAKE. WE RECIEVED NO PHONE CALLS FROM FORD CREDIT NOR DID WE RECIEVE ANY LATE NOTICES. I TOLD THAT TO THE DRIVER BUT HE SAID HE WAS JUST HERE TO PICK UP THE TRUCK. I LEASED THE TRUCK IN 1999 BRAND NEW. THEN WHEN THE LEASE EXPIRED I BOUGHT THE TRUCK ON PAYMENTS.

SO I HAVE BEEN PAYING ON THIS TRUCK FOR SEVEN YRS. I AM NOT SURE WHEN I GOT BEHIND. MY WIFES CAR WAS PARKED
BEHIND THE RANGER SO THE TOW TRUCK COULD NOT GET TO IT TO HOOK UP. MY WIFE THEN CALLED FORD CREDIT AND TOLD THEM WHAT WAS GOING ON. THAT'S WHEN SHE FOUND OUT WE WERE 2 PAYMENTS BEHIND.

SO THE LADY ON THE PHONE TOLD MY WIFE WHAT SHE NEEDED TO DO WAS GO TO WESTERN UNION AND USE THE BLUE FORM AND SEND 735.32 TO THEM IN COLORADO SPRINGS CO. ONCE THE RECIEVED THE CONFIRMATION NUMBER THEY WOULD CALL THE DRIVERS BOSS AND HAVE HIM LEAVE. MY WIFE TOLD FORDS SHE WAS AFRAID TO MOVE HER CAR THAT THE DRIVER MIGHT HOOK UP AND LEAVE. SO SHE TOLD THE DRIVER WHAT FORDS HAD TOLD HER TO DO AND WOULD HE PROMISE TO WAIT FOR HER TO GET BACK AND NOT HOOK UP AND LEAVE AND HE PROMISED HE WOULD WAIT.

SO SHE WENT TO THE BANK DREW OUT THE MONEY AND WESTERN UNIONED IT ON THE BLUE FORM LIKE SHE WAS TOLD. SHE THEN RETURNED HOME TO CALL FORDS BACK WITH THE CONFIRMATION NUMBER. WHEN SHE PULLED UP THE DRIVER WAS HOOKED UP TO THE TRUCK AND WAS LEAVING. MY WIFE PULLED HER CAR IN FRONT OF THE TRUCK SO HE COULDN'T LEAVE. SHE ASKED WHAT ABOUT HIS PROMISE, AND HE TOLD HER FORD MOTORS CALLED HIS BOSS AND TOLD HIM WHETHER SHE PAYS OR NO BRING BACK THE TRUCK.

MY WIFE CAME IN CRYING SAYING THEY ARE GOING TO TAKE OUR TRUCK. ANYWAY, I TOLD HER JUST CALL FORDS AND SHE DID. THIS TIME A MAN ANSWERED AND SHE TOLD HIM WHAT THE LADY BEFORE HIM HAD SAID AND HE ASKED FOR THE CONFIRMATION
NUMBER. AFTER A BIT HE CAME BACK AND TOLD MY WIFE HE HAD TALKED TO THE LADY SHE DID AND WAS IN AGREEMENT IT WAS BETTER JUST TO BRING THE TRUCK IN. MY WIFE WAS CRYING SAYING WE DID WHAT YOU ASKED PLEASE DON'T TAKE OUR TRUCK. THE MAN TOLD HER THE DRIVER WAS ALREADY HOOKED UP SO IT WAS TOO LATE.

WE WERE FLOORED, HELPLESS. WITH THOSE TWO PAYMENTS AND THE ONE THEY RECIEVED THE DAY BEFORE PAYED MY ACCOUNT UP TILL 2-10-06. WE WERE PAID AHEAD AND THEY STILL TOOK OUR TRUCK. FORD HAD DONE US WRONG AND THERE IS NOTHING I CAN DO.

I NEED HELP. I DON'T WANT TO LOSE MY TRUCK TO A
REPO MAN AFTER PAYING 7 YEARS ON IT. IF THERE IS ANY THING YOU CAN DO TO HELP US FIGHT THIS OR CAN FORWARD THIS ON TO SOMEONE IN FORD MANAGEMENT PLEASE DO. I AM CALLING OUT FOR HELP. PLEASE HELP US GET OUR TRUCK BACK. WE WERE GIVEN NO WARNING ABOUT BEING BEHIND.

YOU CAN.

HOW MANY OTHER PEOPLE HAS FORD MOTOR DONE THIS TO AND GOT AWAY WITH IT. IT'S THE PRINCIPAL; PLEASE HELP IN ANY WAY YOU CAN. IT'S JUST WRONG THAT THEY WIN.

Hi I am in Charlotte, NC and had a very similar experience, except I did not surrender my vehicle. They are quick to offer a deferment, but no one tells you that the deferment will result in a balloon payment at the end of the loan. I had seven. I have paid over 20,000 since 2002 for a 2000 Jaguar and owe them 2100 (all interest). Even though they didnt take the car they still reported to credit agency as a repo and charged off the amount. Which, by the way I was planning to pay. They did this after I made a payment to them and never told me that my payments were behind. Did you all receive any resolution? Please let me know. I am looking to sue them, but no one will give me the legal address or even a supervisor to speak to.
