I purchased a 2007 Ford Fusion from Sunset Ford in Westminster, CA on March 16, 2007.  In early March of 2010, it developed rattling and vibration in the front end.  I took it to the dealer on March 17, 2010 and they diagnosed it as failed control arms on both sides. The vehicle had 34,200 miles at the time.  According to the dealer, Ford would not honor the warranty.  When I contacted Ford Customer Relationship Center, they told me the dealer made the decision to not repair the vehicle under warranty.  Several emails and phone calls to the dealer and the CRC have not been successful in resolving the issue.  They both maintain that nothing can be done.  According to the CRC reps, all three that I talked to had the same answer, "I checked all our resources and there is nothing Ford can do for you"  The dealer did offer a 10% reduction in the $1700-$2000 repair cost.  They would still be making a large profit on my misfortune -- there was no talk of offering parts and/or labor at cost, only standard rates for parts and labor.  This is for components that should have lasted 150,000 plus miles, but failed at 30,000 miles.  Totally RIPOFF.

The vehicle developed rattling and vibration in early March while still under warranty - and you wait until the warranty expires to take it to the dealer.  What is the rip off...
