The dealer I bought my truck throuh has had many names, Rodeo Ford, Middlekauf Ford... Under this new name I can not say if they are any better, but under the rodeo name, they ripped me off. First, the battery that was in my truck (bouhgt at this dealer) seems to have been swapped out with a much smaller battery. I did not know this until a series of neededing jump starts. After going back and forth with their service (Nothing is wrong, maybe it is your stereo!).

I contacted Ford directly and they said that they backed the dealer and were not going to do naything about my complaint.

Well, if the stereo was able to drain the battery in 15 minutes, then that much current would reduce the stereo to a puddle of hot solder.. Anyway I took it to a battery shop, where they quickley determined that the battery did not have enough capacity to start the truck. (Rodeo had just certified the battery as good). When they replaced the battery, they discovered this little tiny battery sitting in a very large battery box. No wonder it failed in the first year!.

I contacted Ford again on this matter. Ford said that this was not the battery that should have been installed in this truck. They offered to take the complaint at this time, but were not willing to reimburse me for my expenses getting the warranty work done.

BTW, I will never buy a Ford truck again.
