After purchasing and owning Ford products for 26 years Ford Motor Credit of Memphis,Tennessee refused to allow us credit to purchase a 2000 Ford Crown Victoria.

On May 19th, 2003 Our family went to the local Ford dealer where we tried to purchase the vehicle. The sales manager told us the reason that the credit application was refused was because my father is handicap and can not drive.

They knew this in 2001 when we purchased a 1999 Ford Taurus and a 2001 Ford F150 XL. In July of 2002 we tried to purchase a new 2002 Ford F150 extended cab pickup. They never would tell us why they could not extend us credit. We purchased a 2002 Dodge pickup without any problem. In April of 2003 we again tried to purchase a Ford. That is when we were informed that we could not buy a vehicle through Ford Motor Credit because my father is handicap and can not drive. To me this is a clear case of discrimination.
